Guiding Light

We have lost our best friend on earth and our guiding light I could always come to mom to share in my hopes and dreams and also my sorrows and heart breaks As a child you mended my scrapes and cuts with a band aid a hug and a kiss As an adolescent you gave me the best advice and guidence you could and even if I didn't follow it you gave me your shoulder to cry on if my plans failed You were always there for me What a wonderful inspiration you were The wind beneath my wings My only wish is that I am such a good mother as you were I wish I could see the joy on Dad and Diannes faces when you showed up at the Gates of Heaven
