VAILLANCOURT, Pâquerette - It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our much-loved mother, Pâquerette Vaillancourt on Saturday, May 3rd, 2014, surrounded by her loving family. She was 79 years old. Pâquerette Vaillancourt (née Desbiens), of Pembroke, Ontario. Reunited with her soul mate and husband of 55 years, the late Norman Vaillancourt (deceased 2010). Cherished mother of Janice (Dave) Yaraskovitch, Vivianne (Yvon) Jolicoeur, Norman Vaillancourt, Bruce (Debbie) Vaillancourt, Wayne Vaillancourt, Marc (Debbie) Vaillancourt, and Daniel (Judy) Desbiens. Much loved Mama/Memère to Matthew and Alyson Yaraskovitch; Pamela Layman and Julie-Anne Bourgoin; Amanda, Tabitha (Matt Weisenberg), and Kaitlyn Vaillancourt; Michael and Adrian Vaillancourt; Angela Vaillancourt; Joshua and Tanya Vaillancourt; and Celeste and Philippe Desbiens. Also left to mourn are 17 great-grandchildren. Loving sister and friend to Marie (late Jim) Stitchman, Pauline (late Lawrence) Chaput, Denise (Hector) Chaput, Florence (Roger) Duguay, and Lise (Raymond) Chaput. Predeceased by parents Antoine and Adèle Desbiens (née Tremblay), and sister Doris (Clayton) Traversey. Memorial visitation at Neville Funeral Home, 491 Isabella Street, Pembroke, on Friday, May 9th, from 7:00-9:00 p.m. Mass will be celebrated at St. Jean-Baptiste Church on Saturday, May 10th, at 11:00 a.m. Interment of ashes in St. Columba's Cemetery, Pembroke, immediately following the church service.
