Condolences

Condolence From: Patricia Costey-Henry
Condolence: To all Dorothy's family,
It is always a sad time to lose someone to death but to lose a mother who kept the fires going is a deep loss that can never be repaired.
I also was the seventh of a large family and could relate to her in many ways. I could never forget the time I was out getting the groceries and Dorothy stopped at the house campaigning. My three young sons opened the door to her knock and she filled them in on her life and struggles. When I arrived home, anything I didn't know about Dorothy, my sons filled me in on. They were so excited to have met her and so very excited to let me know she was a good mother like me. I could never forget their excitement.
Over the years I took the bus many times and she or her son were always there. A sad loss when the terminal shut down and I missed the comradery.
She is at peace now no more worries, no more fight. You are all in my prayers. Rip Dorothy

Condolence: I was saddened to hear of Dorothy's passing this past week. I had just asked about her last month and heard she was living with the Sisters. She was the strongest woman I have ever met. She was an inspiration to others and should be a role model for all young women that want to succeed in life through faith, family, community and hard work. Our views on politics differed and she had no problem letting me know it. She truly was a "firecracker". Rest in Peace Dorothy - your work on earth is finished and you have done it well. God Bless †

Condolence From: Michael Wheaton
Condolence: To all the Devine family. On behalf of the Wheaton family, you have our deepest sympathies during this difficult time. I have nothing but great memories of your mother who truly was part of my life for over 25+ years. Oh yes, there was always great steak dinners & euchre battles going on at the house or at the cottage on the Island during those early Phylis, Rufus and "Cadillac" years. They were enjoyable times. She was an amazingly strong and independent woman who demonstrated no fear. She had no fear of me anyway.!! Rest in peace "Dot".
